The Kangwon Land Forest Healing Foundation is now recruiting organizations to participate in the '2027 Child and Youth Over-Immersion Prevention Program,' designed to help children and teenagers at risk of media over-immersion—such as smartphones and gaming—develop healthier lifestyle habits.

According to the foundation on the 2nd, this program is a professional healing initiative that utilizes forest resources and wellness facilities to support the mental and physical recovery, emotional stability, and the development of healthy media usage habits among children and youth.

The foundation operated over-immersion prevention programs for approximately 2,600 children and youth this year and plans to continue conducting customized prevention camps on a quarterly basis next year.

Applications for the first quarter of 2027 are open until the 27th of this month.

Eligible applicants include organizations that meet the social care criteria set by the Korea Youth Work Agency, institutions supporting vulnerable groups, and elementary, middle, and high schools under the Ministry of Education.

The foundation will review applications and select the final participating organizations, with individual notifications to be sent by December 11th.

Detailed information regarding the application process and the program can be found on the official website of High1 Healing Center, operated by the Kangwon Land Forest Healing Foundation.

Meanwhile, the Kangwon Land Forest Healing Foundation continues to operate programs that integrate forest therapy and wellness resources to prevent media over-immersion and support the healthy development of children and youth.

The focus is particularly on helping youth form balanced lifestyle habits through nature-based experiences and relaxation in an environment where digital device usage has become a daily norm.
