Kangwon Land's Popular Info App 'Jabsuda' Gets a Makeover: Now Free with Enhanced Convenience

홍춘봉편집국 기자·By

'Jabsuda,' the popular community app that has provided real-time jackpot status and game information to Kangwon Land Casino customers, has completed a major overhaul two and a half years after its launch.

In particular, the app is transforming into a comprehensive information platform for Kangwon Land customers by making all services free, introducing a donation system, and significantly strengthening its information, entertainment, and communication features.

According to the app developer, 'Ddaeng-wonjang' (real name Lee Yong-seok), the renewal process, which took six months of preparation, is complete, and the new service officially launched today.

The most significant change in this update is the shift to a fully free service model, with operating costs now covered by voluntary donations from members. Unlike last year, when there was consideration of charging for some premium information, the decision was made to go completely free to increase accessibility for all members.

A notable new section is 'Praise for Kangwon Land.'

This is a space where members can introduce and praise Kangwon Land employees, local merchants in Gohan and Sabuk, or fellow casino customers who set an example through kindness, consideration, and good deeds.

The goal is to move beyond criticism and foster a positive culture through mutual praise and encouragement among casino customers, local merchants, and staff.

The 'Casino Arcade' is also drawing attention.

It was created to allow users to enjoy casual simulated games like blackjack and slot machines while relaxing at home or waiting to enter the casino.

The core existing service, jackpot information, has been reorganized into the 'Big Jackpot' section, providing more detailed status updates on popular slot machines than ever before.

A 'Daily Horoscope' section has also been added. This is an entertainment feature for checking game luck for the day and is not intended to predict actual game results.

Communication features for members have also been strengthened.

A 'reply' function has been introduced, allowing members to respond to existing comments, making information sharing and discussions more convenient.

Existing popular sections remain in place.

Features such as 'Real-time Chat' for sharing on-site casino conditions, 'Do You Want to Do Well or Get Criticized' for discussing Kangwon Land's issues and improvements, as well as 'Visit Reviews,' 'Game Discussions,' 'Carpooling,' 'Help Needed,' and 'Meetups' continue to operate.

The user experience has also been improved. The developer explained that by upgrading to a server with more than double the performance and optimizing screen layouts and menu accessibility, the overall user experience has been enhanced.

Members who have tried the renewed app are responding positively, saying, "It's cleaner and more sophisticated than before," "The screen is easier to look at and use," and "There is a wealth of information and things to enjoy."

Jabsuda started in late March 2024 as an information-sharing app developed by Ddaeng-wonjang, who was a Kangwon Land customer himself.

An IT expert and enthusiast of skiing and casinos, Ddaeng-wonjang spent about a year developing the app after experiencing the difficulty of checking jackpot statuses and table game wait times during his visits to Kangwon Land.

Initially, it provided jackpot information for major games like Wang-seobang, Diamond 345, Three Card, and Caribbean Poker, and has since expanded its game coverage and community functions.

By April 2025, one year after its launch, it had grown into an app providing jackpot information for 16 games, including 14 popular slot machines and 2 table games.

It has been praised for filling the gap in information at Kangwon Land as customers share real-time on-site data.

"I wanted to create an environment where members can enjoy Kangwon Land by providing more accurate and useful information," said Ddaeng-wonjang. "During the six months of preparation, we significantly improved the server and enhanced both content and usability."

He added, "I hope customers will share useful information and help build a healthy gaming culture. I want to contribute to Kangwon Land being recognized as a healthy leisure space rather than just a gambling venue."

This renewal of Jabsuda is notable for going beyond simple jackpot information to strengthening communication, mutual respect, and autonomous information sharing among customers.

Future Outlook

Jabsuda plans to continue listening to user feedback to further refine its features, aiming to remain the go-to platform for Kangwon Land visitors seeking both information and a sense of community.
