Kangwon Land announced that it will host the '2026 4th Residential Healing Camp' from the 23rd to the 25th at the High Healing Center in Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do, with approximately 30 participants, including individuals recovering from gambling addiction and their families.
This camp is part of the 'Residential Healing Facility Construction Project' jointly promoted by the Kangwon Land Maum Chaeum Center and the Forest Healing Foundation, in cooperation with the Korea Center on Gambling Problems.
Now in its fourth iteration this year, the camp has expanded its target audience to include the families of those in recovery, focusing on reflecting on strained family relationships, fostering mutual understanding, and supporting the recovery process.
Over the course of three days and two nights, participants will engage in self-care programs, including group counseling to strengthen the will to recover and share feelings among family members, as well as yoga, meditation, forest therapy, music therapy, cooking classes, and wood burning.
Kim Kyung-hoon, Head of the Kangwon Land Maum Chaeum Center, stated, "When families work together, the motivation for change and the effectiveness of recovery for the individual can be significantly enhanced. We hope this camp serves as an opportunity for recovering individuals and their families to understand each other and move forward together again."
Kangwon Land plans to push for official designation as a specialized healing facility by 2027 and expand related infrastructure to spread this residential healing model to the private sector nationwide.
